i’m going to become a senior as well too, i guess you start application before christmas and after labor day i mean in between those days are acceptable, and application are done online, i guess you pay with a credit card.
you should start as soon as possible like in october. you should narrow down your final list and then if you want to apply early action (non binding) those are due between nov 1st and dec 1st depending on the college. this is good to do because you wont have to make a decision on where your going until may but you have shown an early interest (and you’ll find out if you got on sooner!)
rolling applications are filled out just like regular applications (online on their website or the common app) all it means is the sooner you send it in the sooner you get a decision
good luck
Get all the info you are going to need to fill out the application, grades, awards, extra credits, letters of recommendation from your teachers, adviser and work on your essay. When all is together start requesting applications and filling them out. They will give you the early decision date (if your college or university has one, generally in December) and use their date to mail your applications. Make sure you submit several applications to be sure you are accepted to a college you want to go to. Have you visited any campus’s during the summer? If not make arrangements to visit some at Christmas break.
