What community colleges guarantee admission to UC’s?
I want to go to Santa Barbara Community College, California. I went to a community college called cuesta community college and it had a guarenteed acceptance to certain UC’s if you got good grades. What UC colleges does SBCC guarentee acceptance to if you get good grades??

There is no real guarantee that you will get into a UC from a Community College. Right now I am going to Pierce College (Southern California) and I know they have a really high transfer rate. I talked to a counselor there and she said that if you get a 3.0 or higher, then you’re just about guaranteed a transfer. You should try to get into the Honors Program at whatever Community College you decide to go to. After taking my placement tests I found out I was qualified, but then I found out how much work is required. If you get your Associates degree from a Community College with honors then you are pretty much a shoe in. It puts you on a higher level than other transfer students, and even higher than the High School honors students because you’ve already done some college work and they know you’re capable. Either way, talk to your High School counselor and even college counselors at Community Colleges you think you want to go to.
