yes but that’s a lot of applications. 3 to 4 is a more practical number
yeah i did 15!
got accepted to 12!
depends on how dumb you are…
the dumber you are = the more colleges you need to apply to
10 can become costly with all of the application fees and what not. Generally, high school seniors are advised to apply to 5 colleges. 1 safety school that you know you’ll get accepted to. 2 that you would love to attend, and 2 that are a little above you.
10 is a good number provided you have the money to pay for the applications. Application fees can get expensive.
might be too much and a waste of money. I applied to 7 and got accepted by 4 of them. You should definitely have a back up college that you know for sure you’ll be accepted in just in case you don’t get in to the one you want. I knew a girl from my high school who was too confident and she only applied to top universities. Turned out that she did not get accepted by any and she was forced to go to community college. Sad story considering that she took all these AP classes in high school.
I’d apply to 8, and do it like this (this is what I did for graduate school):
2 dream schools (ones you doubt you’ll get into, but hey, can’t say you didn’t try)
4 good-chance of getting in schools
2 safety nets (maybe even 3)
But apps are ALOT harder work than you think. It took me about 2 months to get everything in order. Good luck!
I don’t think the number is as important as whether or not you like the schools and what your chances are of getting accepted. A C student could apply to every single ivy-league school and then some, and not get accepted into any, while an A student would be stupid to only apply to community colleges.
You should make sure you have a couple schools you know for sure you can get into, and where you’ll be happy going. A couple schools you think you can get into, and a couple reach schools that you might not be able to get into. All the schools should be ones where you will be happy and where you will be able to major in the field you want.
Don’t forget, it costs money to apply to colleges!
wow in america can you apply to as many as you want?? in england you can only apply to 6, then you have to pick one and can’t change your mind. apply to as many as you can – I know I would have!!!
Apply to as many colleges as you would like. The more that you apply to, the better chances you will have of getting into college. Make sure that it is a college that you would like to attend. Also, if you are planning on entering on scholarship or any other type of financial aid, be sure to look at how much money that the university is offering you. See how the quality of life is on the campus, such as the dorms and cafeteria. I hope this has helped you!
