The college that my daughter attends has a system in place with Tuition Management Systems where you can elect to pay tuition for the year over 10 month increments, no interest payments. We have been using the 10 month option for the past three years. Our payments start in June and go for 10 months. The school disburses her grant each semester, but our total bill is not paid in full until March. If we did not participate in this, we would be billed in July and January for each semester. Sometimes schools will allow you to make payments if all other options are used up. The schools will not allow you to pay for more than one semester at a time and same with loans. That's how our community college does. Don't be afraid to contact your local college and have them send you some info to look over. Also contact their financial aid office and do the same.
